StarRising Devotional respects your privacy and is committed to helping you manage your personal information.

This page explains how to request deletion of your StarRising Devotional account or specific personal information associated with your account.

1. How to Delete Your Account

To request account deletion directly in the StarRising Devotional app:

1. Sign in to your account.

2. Open Profile.

3. Select Delete my account.

4. Follow the confirmation instructions.

If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing:

Please send the request from the email address associated with your account, if possible. We may need to verify that you are the account owner before processing your request.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

According to the app developer's current implementation report, account deletion removes the account and associated information, including:

• Name, email address, account identifiers, and preferences.

• Saved prayers and prayer history.

• Journals, reflections, and testimonies.

• Devotional journeys and progress.

• Bible bookmarks and reading progress.

• Memory verses and faith milestones.

• Child profiles and associated progress.

• Parent PIN and account sign-in information.

The developer reports that account records and associated database content are deleted when the account-deletion process is completed.

Stored audio files and third-party service retention may require additional processing, as explained below.

3. Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account

You may request deletion of selected information while keeping your StarRising Devotional account active.

Examples include:

• Individual prayers or prayer recordings.

• Journal entries and reflections.

• Testimonies.

• Saved devotional content.

• Bookmarks and progress information.

• Child profiles and associated information.

Where an in-app deletion option is available, you may use it directly.

Please describe the information you want deleted. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.

We aim to respond to these requests within 30 days.

4. Voice Recordings and Audio Data

Private voice prayers may be stored as part of your account.

When a recording is deleted, it becomes inaccessible through the app. Permanent deletion of the underlying stored audio file is being verified with our service provider.

Audio submitted for speech-to-text processing is not retained by the StarRising Devotional application after processing. The external processing provider may retain audio temporarily for security and abuse-prevention purposes, subject to its applicable retention policies.

5. Data Retention

Account information and saved devotional content are generally retained while your account remains active.

When you request account deletion, the app's account-deletion process removes associated account records and database content.

Certain information may remain temporarily with service providers where necessary for security, legal compliance, or applicable retention requirements.

6. Children's Information

Parent or guardian accounts may manage child profiles within StarRising Devotional.

Parents and guardians may request deletion of child profiles and associated information without deleting their own account.

Requests are subject to appropriate account ownership and parental authorization checks.

Children's Privacy and Parental Controls

StarRising Devotional provides a parent-managed Child Mode featuring age-appropriate Bible stories, daily lessons, guided prayers, weekly memory verses, and family worship activities.

Child profiles require a parent or guardian to establish a PIN. Switching out of Child Mode or changing protected profile settings requires parental authorization.

Children cannot create or upload voice prayer recordings, submit written prayers, or access adults' private prayer entries. Instead, they may read and follow guided prayers provided within the app.

Adult-only AI reflections, voice-to-text features, and marriage-related content are restricted for child profiles through server-side access controls.

Parents and guardians may manage child profiles and request deletion of associated information using the account and data deletion procedures described in this Privacy Policy.
